July 2007 ~ Automated Geotechnical Testing Seminar.

ACS are happy to announce that we will be holding a number of seminars on Automated Geotechnical Testing
in conjunction with one of our principal suppliers Geocomp Corporation (USA) during August 2007.
These will be one-day sessions presented by Dr. Rachid Hankour of Geocomp and will include practical
applications and examples being shown. Two test systems will also be used during the seminar (Automatic
Triaxial and Consolidation Testing Apparatus).

June 2007 ~ Updated Sieve Stock List
ACS offers many sizes of aperture and frame. Any of the sieve sizes we offer can be supplied with a NATA recognised UKAS Calibration Certificate, which complies with the new NATA requirement for reference sieves.
We are also able to supply Graded Glass Beads to use as a reference material. A full set of 14 x 1kg tubs is available with a grading of between 0.030mm and 3.6mm.

March 2007 ~ ACS involvement in 2007 Grand Prix Rally
Tim Kennon and Peter Riseborough ~ First in Class in 2007
Results have been posted in the Grand Prix Rally with Tim Kennon and Peter Riseborough winning in their class ("Classic Pre 1975").
The Grand Prix Rally is the official rally event of the 2007 Formula 1™ ING Australian Grand Prix. The event is a Touring Road Event Rally conducted under CAMS regulations and CAMS Permit and is designed to offer a balance of challenges to both drivers and navigators over the four days of competition.

Australian Calibrating Services are now able to provide Safety Training specifically for Servo Hydraulic Testing Machine users.
Did you know that the Australian Standard AS2243 1990 Safety in Laboratories specifically states
that: “Any person who is untrained in the use of a testing system shall not be permitted to operate
a Universal Testing Machine”.
